In this teaching program Bridge Coach presents the Standard English - Modern Acol course, the current basic course of the English Bridge Union Teachers Association.
The EBU document is also published in the program by agreement and is linked to at appropriate times in the commentary. It is a good idea to be familiar with its contents.
There is further reference material in the form of five articles covering leads, declarer and defender play, signals and discards. There is also a comprehensive glossary.
It is the aim of the program to give the student a pleasant way of practicing and developing his/her bridge understanding between lessons whenever it is wanted. It also includes the development of your ability to avoid common errors.
The user is strongly advised to stick with a deal until all of the points raised are understood. If this is followed, in a relatively short time you will be playing a better game of bridge.
